587 Abeel st: (2026)
TapRoot CLT was awarded $120k from Ulster County for the purchase of land beneath 587 Abeel Street, Kingston, NY, home to Blackbird Infoshop. This project will permanently secure affordable rents for the two apartments on the premise as well as ensure that the commercial space continues to serve community needs.
ReGen Kingston: (2026-2027)
In partnership with RUPCO, this project will transform 9 vacant homes into affordable homeownership opportunities for households earning 60-80% of the area median income. RUPCO is leading the rehabs and TapRoot CLT will assist in homeowner selection and ongoing stewardship of the homes, guaranteeing that the homes remain affordable for all future owners. These homes will offer stable, high-quality housing while helping address Kingston’s shortage of entry-level affordable homes.
